LOVE this quick & easy dip. I make it every time I have extra avocados that I don’t want to go bad.
2-Minute Creamy Avocado Dip ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
Alright, friends. The time has come for me to share the most basic of all recipes with you.
Most of my meals in the last month have involved this dip. I am obsessed with it. It’s not fancy. It’s not super impressive. It’s not anything you’ve never heard of. And it’s not even like I’m using this IN my meal (we have magic green sauce for that, duh).
I’m just regularly snacking on this while I’m making dinner because it’s really, really simple… and REALLY, REALLY GOOD.
Even though this is ridiculously easy, I feel part of my job is to just show you what I love eating in my real life, so here it is. This is what I love eating in real life. 2-Minute Creamy Avocado Dip, coming right up.

How To Make This Avocado Dip Happen
We start by mashing avocados. This takes approximately one minute, depending on your ninja-level mastery of avocado mashing.

And now, we stir in some garlic powder, salt, and just a nice big thwap of plain Greek yogurt (anyone else see that episode? thank u for the pro tip, Antoni ♡).

And now, a little lime juice.

Oh, hey! You’re done!
What I Love About This Recipe
This avocado dip is ultra-creamy, with a boost of tang and protein and some friendly probiotics from the yogurt. The flavor is tangy, salty, and super satisfying. It’s something that can materialize almost instantaneously when you need something happy to eat STAT. You don’t even need to dirty up a cutting board (unless you want cilantro, which, yes, is delicious).
Also worth noting that this avocado dip spreads nicely on tacos – kind of like a mash-up between sour cream and straight avocado. Yum. Personally, I recommend this dip + these tacos.
I mean, you definitely have two minutes, right? I think the time has come.

2-Minute Avocado Dip: FAQs
Yum! If you like spicy, a quick sprinkle of cayenne or a chopped-up jalapeño can add some heat.
Sure! Add some chopped fresh cilantro if you want! I like it with cilantro, but I often eat this avocado dip without cilantro so I don’t have to wash a cutting board. 🙂
The avocado should still be somewhat firm when you press on it gently. The skin should be dark, not green. If it’s green, let it sit at room temp for a day or two to darken.

I WOULD LOVE TO GET YOUR RECIPES
Hi, Lynn! If you’d like to hop on our email list and start getting recipes, you can do that here! 😊
Made this twice. Once with almond yogurt, 2 tbs of lime juice, garlic powder and sea salt. And then another time 2 hass avocados, 1/2 tsp of kosher salt & 1/4 garlic powder, & 1 1/2 tbs of lemon in a food processor. So yummy. We enjoyed it with black bean chips.
This is delicious and so easy! The addition of the greek yogurt gives it the added protein I am looking for at breakfast. Spread on a piece of toasted Dave’s Killer bread it is a yummy, healthy start to my day. Thanks for another great recipe!
Do you mash up the skin on the avocado or just the inside??
Just the soft green inside!
Great
Just whipped up a batch, and it’s terrific! I smeared it on rice cakes and dipped carrots, celery, and chips just to try a number of things. All great compliments.
I read that most of the cilantro stems are good for you, besides the leaves, when making cilantro dishes like this I cut large chunks from a washed bunch of cilantro into my Cuisinart Mini Prep food processor and grind the leaves and stems up before adding to rest of ingredients.
